  • How do I obtain a burning authorization?

    You must contact Forestry  (State Agency)  at 1-800-705-8609

  • How do I obtain a fire report?

    You may request a fire report online using the online form, call the Fire Marshal office at (803) 425-1522, stop by the Fire Marshal office at 515 Walnut Street or email your request to christy.denkins@kershaw.sc.gov

  • Where can I get help if I have lost my home due to a fire?

    You must contact the Red Cross at (803) 432-3383.

  • How can I get a smoke detector installed in my home?

    You may request a smoke detector online using the online form, call the Fire Marshal Office at (803) 425-1522, stop by the Fire Marshal Office at 515 Walnut Street or email your request to Christy.denkins@kershaw.sc.gov.

  • What are the requirements to become a volunteer firefighter?

    You must be 18 years or older and complete a sled background check. Then the volunteer fire department’s membership will vote to accept or deny you as a member. You may submit your application HERE
